The NX CAM Customization course is directed at the more experienced and advanced NC/CNC user that is interested in becoming more productive through the use of advanced customization techniques. Upon completion of this course, you will be able to add new cutting tools, cutting tool materials, part materials, and new machining methods along with appropriate feeds and speeds to the library. The user will also be introduced to the creation of Wizards and templates which will allow for the customizing of their system to machine their type of work. The user will also be introduced to the automated Hole Making module which will facilitate the drilling of large amounts of holes in short time. Finally, all of these activities can be verified with the Integrated Simulation and Verification module, which allows users to build their machine tool, and verify their operations and setups prior to arriving on the shop floor.

Required courses:

• NX Manufacturing Fundamentals (tr11021)

Other recommended courses:

• Or successful completion of Essentials for Designers prerequisite assessment on the Learning Advantage (score >70%). Learning Advantage courses can also be used to prepare for the prerequisite assessment.
• A thorough understanding of NC/CNC programming principles and a thorough understanding of NC/CNC machine/controller functionality
