Upcoming release of NX DraftingPlus

Siemens PLM Software is pleased to announce the upcoming release of NX DraftingPlus. NX DraftingPlus, which will be introduced with NX 7.5, is a collection of new and existing functions devised to meet the demands of 2D centric design and drawing requirements, as well as support 2D to 3D workflows.

Intended users for NX DraftingPlus are existing I-deas 2D users looking to migrate, and existing NX users who are currently using another system for 2D. NX DraftingPlus extends the NX drafting toolset by providing additional 2D and 3D drawing productivity tools, with the primary focus of addressing 2D design and drawing production requirements. It is fully integrated into NX Drafting and offers a set of 2D-centric drawing tools for customers who require 2D design and layout capabilities, or who want to maintain or reuse legacy 2D drawings.

Key features of NX DraftingPlus include a common user interface with NX, 2D optimization, robust drawing view creation tools, easy symbol creation and reuse, extensive drafting standard compliance, data migration, and a bridge to 3D. NX DraftingPlus is also available through a fully functional, standalone solution called NX Power Drafting.
